My brother, I will advise you stay put and concoct a convincing story of why your service year might be postponed, since your case might migrate into the fire from the frying pan if they know about your predicament.

Cook up a story about your department having an issue and of which every student will be affected cos the Senate wouldn't grant hearing until case id resolved within the department.

Just cook up anything u can always defend.

And never forget to tell the truth at the fulness of time.

I don't have much to tell you but keep your calm and remember its not the end of life, you just need to put more efforts into you studies. Do not contemplate suicide!

See, come out 2 dem, there is no need lying. Go thru whoever you are closer 2 btw ur parents. They myt be mad @ first, with time, they'll come down. I know how frustrating it can be, buh then, just summon courage and tell them. A certain girl refused to open up 2 her parents @ om that she had 2 spill. During convocation, her parents came just 2 discover their daughter was not graduating...imagine d disappointment. Pick up courage, its not d end of the world

I feel like a disappointment, don't know how to tell my mum, feels like the end of the world to me, 1 full year and school fees just because of 1 course

Sorry my reply is coming late. I think it's better you pick up the courage to tell your mum. I believe she will understand and please don't see yourself as a failure. It's a short period you'll overcome in no time. You can email me for further help or discussions

Having an extra year is not the end of the world. Its better you tell your parents the truth, return back to school and pass the outstanding courses.

I had extra year thrice due to some reason but I am glad i finished up what i started, graduated and the same course is what i use in feeding myself and family now.

I pray God grants you the strength.

What course are you studying? If your parents turn their backs on you because of an academic challenge, start questioning the love they have for you. Do they love you or are you just their object of meeting their expectations and/or building their prestige?

Extra year and carry over can lead to regret and depression.....see how you can tackle it

Don’t sweat it bro..trust me in a very short time you’ll look over it and laugh. Initially I felt like it was d end of my world but as time went, I adjusted, picked myself up and did d necessary, now I’m a graduate. Don’t let it weigh u down, there’s more life ahead.
