On the 19th of January, Abu Ocheyum a 26years old motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the University Of Ilorin Teaching Hospital after he suffered a Third degree burnt all over his body. It so unfortunate to lose such a lovely, kind and promising young man to such a terrible death. If Abu knew refilling is motorcycle would lead to is death maybe he would still be alive, if he had known that his phone would send him to his early grave maybe he wouldn't have possess any. At about 9pm he returned home from work as usual, took off his cloth went into the abandoned kitchen where he hid petrol in a 25litres gallon due to the situation of fuel scarcity in Ilorin early this week. He tried to refilling a 5litres gallon for the next day while he was pouring the fuel he was using the flashlight of his phone cause there isn't power, in the process a call came through is phone(the killer call) that was what lead to the explosion. He explained to the doctor. We did our best as neighbour to extinguished the fire and also rushed him to hospital that night. While we eventually lost him the following day, my conscience won't let me share is pix after the incident, we watch him cry for help, beg for water and call on death to end his agony. He would be laid to rest in his home town today at benue state. With a heavy heart and tears in my eyes I pray to God to grant u an eternal rest. Rest In Peace Abu.
