Linda Ikeji is known as one of the most inspiring self-made female entrepreneurs in Nigeria. She made her billions through blogging. Each day, she has millions of visits to her blog. Her rise to fame is a puzzle to many. A few years ago, Linda was just a lady with a dream just like many, but she dared to press forward.
Below are a few lessons I have learnt from her.


1) Perfect Timing

Linda Ikeji came into blogging in 2006 when entertainment and gossip websites were not really prevalent in Nigeria.
Timing is a major key to success. You need to learn to look around your environment and find out what people need. It could look insignificant in the sight of others to the extent people might look at you and think you’re stupid. But once you push it out into the market at the right time, you would begin to see good come out of it. It might not seem like much immediately, but if you are persistent and consistent you would definitely reap the fruit of your labour as Linda Ikeji has done.
Invest in your business

Once you have noticed a need and you have decided to take advantage of it, you need to learn to invest. You cannot leave your idea dormant and expect to yield profits from it. You need to water it with your funds, time and other resources to see that your business blooms. Linda Ikeji was able to build her business with her time, effort and resources. There were times when she would have issues and she would go to a cyber café to continue writing on her blog. Blogging was a hobby for her, but she saw how it was able to put smiles on the faces of people and she continued with it. Linda gave her time, money and all that she had and she was able to build her business to what it is now.
