Harrison Tare Okiri (born March 30, 1981), better known by his stage name Harrysong, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter and instrumentalist who rose to fame after his tribute song to Nelson Mandela won the “Most Downloaded Callertune Award” at The Headies 2013. Harrysong was born in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria to Ijaw parents but moved to Lagos in 2007.

Harrysong was born as the only child to Ijaw parents in Warri, Delta State. After the death of his mother, a strained relationship between him and his step-mother led to his drop-out from school and his involvement with music grew after moving to Port Harcourt.

It would be recalled that in August, 2015 The Five Star Music act, Harrysong released a new single which features an array of buzzing artistes. Titled ‘Reggae Blues’, the song features rapper, Olamide,Iyanya, Orezi and 5 Star Music lead act, Kcee.
The star studded track which is a fusion of highlife and reggae and based on partying and booze, had a highlight like “Share The Gala, Share The Booze”, it has attracted UAC foods and has successfully sealed a deal with the Gala Brand of UAC, as the first ever face of Gala.

He posted some promotional pictures with the caption “Share the Gala, Akagum (Stinginess) is a Sin”. He must have also borrowed The “Aka Gum” used in the mantra from his new single featuring Duncan Mighty, titled “Aka Gum”.

Kcee has taken to Instagram to congratulate him on the new deal,also revealing that he would soon be unveiled as the face of one the UAC brand.

Who knows, it might be Supreme Ice Cream.
