For some reason, you may want to copy all your files between two accounts on your laptop. Copying all files individually will take an obscene amount of time depending on how much files you have stored on your PC.



The aim of this tutorial is to help you transfer all your files between accounts easily. To continue, you do not need to download any extra files as your Laptop’s default File Explorer will be sufficient. Note that the account you’re transferring to must be an admin account. The account is not an admin account, then make it one first before continuing, and demote it back when you’re done. Just follow the steps below and you should have all your files transferred in no time at all.

How to Transfer Files between Two Accounts on Your Laptop

•Sign in to the account you want to transfer the files to

•Open File Explorer

•Open your Hard Drive by double clicking on it

•Open Users

•Open the account you want to copy files fromopen base account

•Select all and copyselect all

•Go back and open the account you want to transfer all the files toopen new account

•Paste the files you copied earlierpaste files

Wait until it’s done. Depending on how much files you have, this may range from 20 minutes to 1 hour.


If you followed all the steps above, you should now have all your files in the other account you created. Note that during this process, you may be asked for permission to continue. Just click continue and it will work.
