In Nigerian music, there are some label owners that have not hit the big 3. Here are the top five label owners under 30.

OLAMIDE



27-year-old Olamide left Coded Tunes after he released his debut album, Rapsodi, in 2010. He introduced his own record label YBNL, which he explained in an interview to mean ‘a guy that makes money through legitimate means’. Under his label, he has released four albums and has signed some of the hottest young musicians around at the moment. YBNL is home to Lil Kesh, The Headies award winner, Adekunle Gold, Viktoh, Pheels and Chinko Ekun. Olamide is sure young and getting it, not to forget his hat trick of awards at The Headies 2015.

PHYNO



South East born indigeneous rapper, Azubuike Chibuzor Nelson, popularly known as Phyno, is one artiste who defiled the odds and broke into the Lagos market. 29-year-old Phyno is the owner of Penthauze, home to Stormrex. His story is one for the books. He produced tracks for Mr. Raw, a fellow rapper.
