[b]The closing date for the registration of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) as announced by JAMB, has been extended till 5th February.

"According to jamb website"

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has concluded all preparation for the 2016 UTME exercise. The Board is set to conduct the 2016 Computer Based Test beginning February ending to March 2016.

In view of the above, the sales of the 2016 UTME application form was closed on Friday 29th January, 2016 while the website will be withdrawn on Friday, 5th February, 2016.

In order to give Nigerians the best Computer Based Test ever conducted on a large scale by any public examination body as being done by JAMB, the Board has approved more centres and equally insists on these centres meet best global requirements. Over four hundred (400) centres across the nation and outside Nigeria will be used in the 2016 UTME.

The Board is an agency that is consistently and practically administered on change and innovation. Each year, we bring a number of changes to ensure that we are on top of assessment and measurement. This year there are also some innovations that will ensure that candidates write the examination under the best atmosphere with the required standard question and enabling environment.

Our concern has always been to restore the lost glory of our education system. Today, the Computer Based Test has given the Board renewed determination given its prospects. The Board will continue to fine-tune the policy to get its ultimate best.

Candidates are advised to work hard, read all necessary books especially the text, “The Last Days at Forcados High School” capable of enhancing their performance in the examination.

Our advice also goes to candidates who are still waiting for admission (supplementary or additional) list of their choice institutions for the 2015/2016 admission year to be released. To be on a safe side, obtain JAMB form before they will close there website.

We wish you success!
