Mourinho wanted Chelsea to buy because he knew some players will not play for him after the Leicester game last season. He wanted a left back to replace Ivanovic. A striker to replace or provide competition for Costa. And a Griezmann to do the same to Hazard. But Chelsea board did not listen!
4 LETTING CECH LEAVE FOR ARSENAL!
Cech wanted an EPL clean sheet record. Chelsea should have promised that and find a way to sort it out. The truth is, Cech is a serial champion who brings a lot of belief on and off the pitch. Selling him to Arsenal weakened Chelsea and added strength to Arsenal.
3 LEAVING PLAYERS TO DO AS THEY PLEASED!
The fight between Mourinho and Costa/Ivanovic/Hazard started when Costa and one of Ivanovic or Hazard took more than the 4 days Mourinho gave them when they won the title last season. As expected, Mourinho wasn't pleased with them. They responded by not giving their best and showing lack of respect. Emenalo and a few Chelsea chiefs behaved as if it was ok for the players to undermine Jose Mourinho. The result is what we are seeing!
2 CHELSEA PLAYERS ARE TOO CLOSE TO CHELSEA’S BOARD MEMBERS!
The real boss are the board members of Chelsea football club. They became very close to Costa, Hazard, Terry, Ivanovic, Cech and other players. This is why Chelsea sold Cech even after Mourinho said HE IS NOT GOING TO ARSENAL! They advised Abramovich to sanction the deal the same way they advised and voted for him to sack Jose Mourinho!
1 THE SACK OF JOSE MOURINHO
This ranks as the biggest SIN! It's easy to blame Mourinho for playing the players that were sabotaging his effort. But these players included clauses in their contract that insures they are played. They also included a clause that will give them the right to choose a new club at a reduced price if the Chelsea do not play them to a certain number of times. This is why Thiago Alcantera left Barcelona at a reduced cost. So Mourinho was forced to play the same number of players that refused to play for him!
Chelsea should have supported him like United supported Ferguson when Kane and other players revolted. But this mistake will cost them and make other managers become scared of the player power at Chelsea. We heard Diego Simeone refused to come because of this.
