Standing among her peers With the mounting fears After all these years She got nothing but tears The fruitless tree

Her leaves,once green Now brown with ageing Drying up everyday The root supporting no more The fruitless tree

Her sorrow touch deep When others did,she could not sleep You could hear her weep Still,time slip The fruitlness tree

When she could take it no more She cried and screamed And prayed to God To be green and fruitful The fruitless tree

With long suffering and patience With pain and endurance She watch her peers flourish And herself diminish The fruitless tree

But when the time came God called it hers And so blessed was she Others could not help but envy The fruitless tree

Her leaves gone dead Rose with new life Shimmered with good health And her fruits were abundant The fruitless tree

No longer fruitless But so fruitful They now call her The fruitful tree
