Easy Taxi MD Adaora Asala bowed to pressure as she was ‘sacked’ or “asked to resign” from the popular taxi hailing app easy taxi.

Easy Taxi is currently undergoing another management change, the second of such change within a span of 12 month. Its confirmed, the previous MD, Adaora is no more at the helm of affairs in Easy Taxi.

The first alarm was issued on November 13th 2015, when I wrote a piece on Easy Taxi gradually bowing out to uber taxi. The purpose of that piece was to warn and inform the management of the popular and customer friendly company, easy taxi about the new trends in town. Unfortuanately, we were ignored, and now, they are back at the drawing board with the vacant space left by the change of management. A couple of tech gurus called and asked me how is it possible that easy taxi could even lose out to a rival (Uber) who is facing loads of issues in the united states and europe!

Of course, on an official level, Easy Taxi and the then new MD, Adaora made no effort to heed to correction. The Nigerian economy is not forgiving nor lenient with incompetency especially with tech and Ecommerce platforms, it’s basically cutthroat.

We can’t say whether her resignation was due to health issues, but constant and worrisome poor results seems to be the obvious reason for her ‘resignation’. Ecommerce is a calling and not a matter fancy overseas degree and clout, unfamiliar terrain also contributed to the terrible managerial performance of the company under her watch.

We can say authoritatively that her time with Easy Taxi effectively damaged and destroyed the brand by scattering the staffs, including the top performing youngstars always busting. with bright and forward moving ideas. This effectively reduced the potentials of the ones striving and popular company.

Can Easy Taxi regain it’s market share again?
