A friend just sent this to me to help him find solution to it.

if 3.15 of Hgo decomposed to mecury and oxygen, what mass of oxygen is produced
how many molecules of oxygen will be produced

what volume of oxygen is produced(Hg=208,O=16molecular volume =24dm3 and avagadro constant is 6.02x10*23)

1. write d balanced equatn :2HgO > 2Hg + O2 using : n = m/M : 1 = m/32 = 32g. 2. 1mole 3. equating m/M = volume/Vm(molar volume). u will get ur answer.
