Following comments on Twitter that ace producer Don Jazzy deliberately left the venue of Senator Ben Murray-Bruce's 60th birthday party so he will avoid performing alongside music star D'banj, the MAVIN honcho has refuted these claims as untrue. Murray-Bruce had made a request that Don Jazzy and D'banj should perform together at his party.In Murray-Bruce's words,"Please do this for me, it is my birthday request.”


Responding to Murray-Bruce's request, D’ banj said,”Sir, I have given serious consideration to this. Before I came on stage, I went to Don Jazzy and asked him to join me on stage. If he (Don Jazzy) gives me a beat today, the song will be ready the next day.” This never happened as Don Jazzy was not in the hall for the 'proposed' performance.


Reacting to this in a series of tweets on Twitter, Don Jazzy said, "Haba na whats going on pls? I already announced that I am taking a break from being an artist. Hence why I didn’t perform Surulere with Dr Sid and concur with Timaya.My team also performed tonight na guys. I didn’t show up. I am not an artist I take GOD beg una.Moreover I had left the venue way before Dbanj’s performance though." Meanwhile, artistes who performed at the party, for free, in honour of Ben Bruce are Bonsue Fuji exponent, Adewale Ayuba, Tuface,D'banj, Timaya, Vector, YCEE, Sound Sultan, MI, Jesse Jagz, Wizkid, Dr. Sid, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, among others.

D'banj and Olamide(most talented and versatile) aside ASA are the two Nigerian artist I respect the most. Despite D'banj music career not being on the high side of late, the guy is a fighter. Always working hard to stay relevant and his recent emergency song is an attestation. D'banj is very matured, no wonder he is widely respected and even when Olamide stole concept from his song to produce a better version, his response was epic.
Don Janzy is a successful producer no doubt but he's got more enemy than he can imagine. I pray he stays relevant for long with this attitude. I grew up watching prime time jamz every Saturday by Keke, D1 and ID. Who would have thought Kennis music and those guys can go into oblivion.
Don Jazzy had better grow up. We all know he got the better side of the stick music wise post break up.
