This is a mathematical challenge, and it's been said that: * If you're an engineer or scientist, you should be able to solve it in three minutes, * if > you're an architect, in three hours; > * if you're a doctor or banker in six hours; > * if you're an accountant, in three months, others, six months and if you're a lawyer, probably never. What is the missing number in this logical series? 1, 2, 6, 42, 1806, ____ The answer is the password to open the spreadsheet that is attached to this post. If you figure it out, open the spreadsheet, type your name in, save it and resend it to your friends

Re: Computer Maths Puzzle by BlackRevo: 10:33pm On Sep 01, 2009 |
The answer to the first question is 3263442 and it is a geometric progression Where T1 = 1 T2 = (Tn-1)2 +1 where n = 2 T3= (Tn-1)2 +(Tn-2)2 + 1 where n = 3 I have lost touch with mathematics my God!!!!! In plain language, to get the next term simply add the square of all the preceding terms and increase it by one to get the next term.
