NNPC has always been operating at a monthly loss far worse than this. Dr. Ibe Kachichukwu coming on board only helped to stem the tide of gigantic losses they were experiencing before.

This loss ain't new. We only think this is new because Kachichukwu ordered NNPC to be publishing its accounts on a monthly basis.
