Earlier today, Nigerians slammed R & B singer Ginuwine on Instagram after he revealed someone was using his identity to collect money from people on Facebook and called the criminal act ‘a Nigerian scam.’

Although some of his fans defended him by claiming the singer never meant the scam was being masterminded by a Nigerian, some Nigerians were still offended and called him a “big fool” for making such a statement.


Moments ago, the In Those Jeans crooner apologised on Instagram, saying he was not referring to all Nigerians. However, the 45-year-old singer still warned his fans about the scam and maintained that even though the impersonator may not be Nigerian, the address the person is giving out is in Nigeria.
