PORT HARCOURT : There was heavy
shooting around new GRA of Port
Harcourt Wednesday evening.
The development generated panic
and tension as many scampered for
safety. Vanguard gathered that Policemen were on the trail of suspected armed robbers. At press time, motorists were trapped in major traffic on adjourning streets in the area, When contacted, the state Police spokesman, DSP Ahmad Muhammad said the operation was still on, adding
that he could only give a clear picture of what was happening at the end of the operation. There were speculations among
motorists in the traffic that a new
generation bank in the new GRA area may have been attacked by the armed robbers.

Hmmmm

Fidelity bank, new GRA branch was successfully robbed and as usual our friends on black clothes arrived the scene 20 minutes after the operation that lasted for over thirty minutes. I hail thee Niger police.

May God save us. The Nigerian army is turning this country into another Somalia.

This is New Nigeria ,the situation is under control, no cause for alarm!

I was around the area at 18:00 and heard the gunfire. From experience I know gunshot sounds have a faint ringing accompanying them - since these didn't I just assumed children or young adults with too much money decided to fire knockouts.

Port Harcourt is becoming more tensed up with what happened today at GRA ... It was like a war front... with Gunshot sounds from different angle sounding....
