My fellow farmers,
Vaccine is an active living substance that provide antibodies against a particular disease made from the causative agent of that disease; to act as antigen without inducing such diseases. For vaccine to be active and potent, it must remain in conducive temperature. (freezes/cooled state) from the point of production till time of usage. Many marketers have broken this cold chain. Most time I recommended made in Nigeria vaccines; Produced in veterinary institute in Vom Jos Plateau state Nigeria. Most foreign vaccines are DEAD on arrival. Many stay for months on the sea; stayed for another long period before clearing at port. Careless marketers who are only interested in making money from you pick them at port without making necessary preparation. They are transported from port to different parts of the country inside a bag or sack. Oh such vaccines are DEAD ON ARRIVAL.
To successfully win the war against GOMBORO & NCD you must avoid buying dead vaccine at all cost. Most vaccines sold in the market are dead and that is the reason many have vaccine failure. .
When next you go and buy your vaccine, look at the tablet in the bottle, if it has turns powder, don’t buy it. Or if it is half broken don’t buy it or if it has turns yellowish, the vaccine is dead. It will not work. If you use it, you are bound to have vaccine failure. Vaccine is so important that you can go a long distance to trusted centers to buy it with your portable cooler. Go at all cost for live & potent vaccines.
