Spanish radio station Cadena Cope has reported that Rafeal Benitez has already signed a three-year deal with Newcastle United. Benitez was successful in his two spells in England, winning the Champions League, FA Cup with Liverpool and also the Europa League with Chelsea. The Spanish coach was also recently sacked by Real Madrid in January and was replaced by club legend Zinedine Zidane.

Benitez had failed to relocate his family from England after his first and second spell in the country. This has led to a raised suspicion and rumour anytime there appears to be a vacant managerial position in the Premiership. Newcastle view Benitez as a high profile manage with the ability to attract quality players , hence improving the global image and brand of the club and at the same time improving on field results and performances .



Steve McLaren in his part has failed to improve the fortunes of the club after the club spent more than £50 million in the summer signing high profile players. Mclaren's Newcastle, have flirted with relegation all season and have lost 16 games in 28 games sitting adrift in 19th in the table . McLaren was sacked by Derby County last season as he twice failed go lead them to promotion to the EPL from the Championship . On the other side, McLaren has won the League Cup with Middlesbrough, reaching the UEFA Cup final with them , and also winning the Eredivisie (Dutch League) with lowly fancied Twente FC . He signed a three-year contract in 2015 June and has failed to replicated his coaching prowess in Newcastle.

jobless for years? bruv please do your research, Benitez left Chelsea in 2013 and when to Napoli immediately before going to Madrid in 2015, so he hasn't been jobless for the past 3-4 years
