It is no longer news that the current situation of the Nigerian Police has gone from bad to worse. They are not organised in any way. That is why i'm starting this thread so Nairalanders can give their opinions on what can be done to strengthen the Nigerian Police, that is "our friend". And let's hope that they will learn a things or two from this thread. Thanks. |

The police can not be efficient when the whole nigerian society is not efficient. Our politicians and leaders are damn in-efficient and corrupt. Mention any outfit in Nigeria that is not corrupt. Even private/non-governmental organisations, including religious bodies are corrupt. Corruption smells everywhere. Since corruption means that things are not done correctly, then there can't be any efficiency in an atmosphere of corruption. Conclusively, the police and all that is about policing is a mirror of the society in which they exist. So, reform the society and the police will become efficient. |

The nigerian police shld be well equiped wit correct weapons to fight crimes, weapons like Ak47, police vehicles, gsm etc. Wit all these lets see if they wil b capable. |
