Toyota Camry Pencil Light VS Honda Accord Baby Boy VS Peugeot 406 by Nobody: 8:01am On Mar 19, 2016
Guys my budget is 500k
And i intend to get a fairly used Nigerian car

I'm only considering 3 options

A) Toyota Camry "Pencil light" (99-2001 version abi?), auto transmission

B) Honda Accord "Baby Boy", auto transmission

C) Peugeot 406, manual transmission

Please my experienced brethen which is the best value for money? Low maintenance is my biggest concern!

Also i really want a car with chips embedded in the key such that the key cannot be forged and it can only be stolen at gun point? Can i hope for this in any of the cars or can i get it done after buying?

I will suggest Camry, maintenance not bad, economy is wonderful, i drive one around. i've used baby boy too, but the gear box is not strong. I replaced mine once.

Of course, every Nigerian will tell you "go for the camry". My own opinion:
1. Camry seems a good car since everyone is using it and all Tom, D!ck and Harry who calls himself a mechanic seems to know about it. But i dont think there's a chip embedded in the key as u said. In fact, it's one of the most stolen cars around.
2. Honda Babyboy: Very beautiful car, both interior and exterior. You can't help but just fall in love with it. But like most Honda cars around, they've got Ball joint issues (you can change it every 3 months when servicing your car).
3. Peugeot 406: I don't know much about this car but why would i want to be driving a manual car? Especially in traffic hold-ups.
Like i said, these assessments are just my personal opinion. Go for the car your heart wants. Cos that's the key to enjoying it.

I've driven 406 (manual) for a couple of months before, maintenance was very moderate. Will advise you to go for auto ride like the poster above me suggested, because of traffic issues. Driving manual car in traffic could be a herculean task. cheesy
