Sometimes when i look at our environment in Nigeria it bugs my mind why we as people don't like beautiful environment. Now look at this church in Nigeria and this church in the US which of this church is more expensive but just look at them which one is inviting?

To be fair, the US has a lot of ridiculously ugly skyscrapers. And Nigeria has lots of lovely buildings too. It's not like all churches look like that.

OP, I agree with you. Our environment would've been a lot more aesthetically pleasing to the eyes if we as a country place more value on landscaping and even planting trees. In fact, the benefits go beyond aesthetics.

Do you understand what is meant by landscaping?? What concerns building with landscaping?

Its not just in our culture. Its seen as additional cost when the sole aim is just to escape from huge cost of renting an appartment.

I agree with u completely. I beleive we still dont see landscaping as part of things to be incorporated in building. The awareness is very low and besides how many people even know the meaning of landscaping.

I was not discoursing about the architectures of our building or skyscrapers but landscaping. And I know that all churches in US don't look like the one i posted but 90% of them are landscaped.

I agree with you 100% just look at a well built up city like Onitsha if that city will put value on landscaping , tree planting , removal of all those shanties attachments in their buildings, cover all the open drainage turn it to sidewalks, mark the streets, give guideline on the size of signage businesses will place on there businesses and make it mandatory to all the landlords to repaint all the houses that are ten years and above believe you me Onitsha and other city alike in Nigeria will compete with some of European cities.
