I keep wondering if #5 note is still in use by buyers and sellers in Nigeria. The last time I set my eyes on #5 is about a month ago. Even when people buy anything from the sellers and the change remain #5, the buyer will ask for ""Sweet, Chewing gum and any other commodity which is #5"" or the buyer will leave without asking for the balance of #5.. I Think CBN should stop printing #5 since the denomination is not recognize by most BUYERS AND SELLERS anymore...

It has gone the way of the one naira note and all others before it. Nothing you can buy with N5 again, not even sweets, chewing gum or cheese balls. If care is not taken we may not even be able to use the N10 by the end of this year. |
