Hi there Mate i suggest u download a software called "Recuva" Its a Freeware u can use to scan your Harddisk and recover all deleted data from your harddisk.

if the work is Microsoft Word or any of its kind, just right-click on the file and click on open-with.

lastly, select open with Notepad or Wordpad.
