Hello... Here is a piece of mine titled "Reflective". Enjoy....

Born to a good family, far from poor.
Her parent were so strict, strict to the core
Well raised, well trained, well groomed, you can imagine.
More exceptional than her peers, wide was the margin.
The hopes were so high the expectations were tall.
For it was assumed that one day this girl would soar.
She was so so good, topping the class was a routine.
Admitted in college at the age of sixteen.
She promised not to mingle, gave her word to excel.
But how focused is this focus, only time can tell.
Year one grades were healthy and she got lots of praise.
Her mother jumped for joy and her father gave an embrace.
At the return to school, she met two friends.
She thought they were like minds, she saw no fence.
The temptation was hidden, it wasn't shown to be seen.
She was enticed with freedom, exposing herself to sin.
Distraction then posed as a rope, she started skipping class.
Pride became a norm and her gold changed to brass.
Toasted by a poet, the wordings were so real.
She saw no fault and she said no nil.
Am almost 18 was the reply to advices,
Use or squander was the fate of her chances.
Worried became her parent, they saw the wrong in something.
Lured to bed, forgetting what they were expecting.
On an endless journey was her period, it became searched for.
Reality dawned on her on a thoughtful afternoon, few minutes to four.
Hearing the new, her father screamed, while her mother was soaked in tears.
The little timed fun spoilt the hope of years.
Her father said, no matter the comeback, the focus was dented.
She couldn't believe what happened, her voice melted.
As expected, she developed the phobia for shame.
Suicide was punctual, the last hope went into the drain.
For her dream was to be Chattered, but she ended being Shattered, thinking she was smarter but lost to the guy who Flattered.

*The End*
