Hi honey guys,

After I escape moving traffic my Nissan Maxima 2002 will not move very well again. KM/H will not rise but tachometer (correct me if is wrong) will rise to 3 - 4 continuously.

You can see below for more understanding.

Auto guru, what could have happen.

Go for scanning ,but most likely culprit is cam/can sensor issue(common Nissan weakness).U can call my no for further diagnosis.

we need more information, the engine power is not being transfered to wheels or what, BTW is the car equipped with automatic gear box or a manual gearbox?

Seconded.
Your transmission is most likely starting from gear 4 instead of 1.

Could be something else too though, which a scan will reveal

yes you are right, I did not pay adequate attention, he needs to scan for codes,
@ OP well, since it's an automatic, when last did you change the automatic transmission fluid? or did you use an ATF other than that recommended by the makers of the car? Many divers usually destroy other automatic gearboxes by using a wrong ATF .

My Ogas in the House.....

My Toyota Camry 1996 is giving me cause for worry... when you select the 'D' while accelerating the gear doesn't change, you will notice its just that gear it doesn't respond per acceleration. please what could be the fault?

This is similar to me issue above. Is just that mine is after frequent stop.

Let your mechanic service your gear or you go for scanning as they said.

Those are the effects of using the wrong ATF
