weldone house,
please has anyone had a positive accessment from AITSL, I will need a practical example of the processing?
saw a closely related occupation Secondary School Teacher on both SO and CSOL. hope this occupation does not fill up quickly as I don't understand the figure under "occupation ceiling" and "Invitation to date" boarder.gov
kindly help me analyse this occupation.
I have BSC Biochemistry (2010), PGDE (2014). I've been teaching in Secondary school since 2013.

Is your PGDE in Education?

What subjects have you been teaching?

Teaching is a good profession and you have a good chance of getting job quickly especially if you teach science subjects.

The instructions on AiTSL are pretty straightforward. Follow it and get your assessment done provided your PGDE is in Education.

The thread has 154 pages sir. that is as comprehensive an archive as anyone can wish for.. kindly go through all the posts starting from page 0. almost all possible questions have been asked and answered

Going through 154 pages is not a small something o shocked When I joined this forum, it took me almost a full day of not doing any work to read through everything.

This is a clarion call to all programmers in the house. Can we use Python or a software tool to scrape information on this forum and then compress and categorize to make it easier for people to access required info faster? This is also important because some questions have been answered several times here. Hosting the compressed version can be done free using Google Blogger.

I'll look into it when I have some free time.

One love.

^^^^^ I believe the opening page (page 0) has all the important information anybody needs to push through.

The problem is most people want to be spoon-fed. It is like someone who prayed for food and when God provided the food is asking that God put the food in his mouth when he is not physically challenged.

thanks. according to what I read on AITSL, I think I need to sit for IELTS first, before proceeding with the accessment?
and please, can I apply for this occupation at any time of the year?

Yes, you need to write an English test first.

Yes, you can apply anytime but the earlier the better. Delay can be dangerous.

Greatly informative thread! Thanks to all for the helpful contributions. Please weigh in on this for me:
I've taken IELTS (awaiting results). I'm now looking at assessment (probably with VETASSESS). I have a BSc Biochemistry (Uniben) and a post grad diploma in journalism. My concern is my experience is disjointed: HR, media, NGO, with periods of unemployment inbetween with at most a year in each field. Total of 6 years. I'm looking at selecting Specialist Manager nec from the CSOL. Would it fly or could there be a better option or way around the work experience?

Please your suggestions/contributions are greatly needed and appreciated.
Cc: Bellong, mamajaz, tyosho, everyone on the thread

I missed this..

With what you have described, you may not get a positive assessment from VETASSES as a specialist manager because none of all what you described can fit in to the occupation.

Look for one occupation that can fit into one of the jobs you have done.

Do you mean he has an HND in addition to a bachelor degree?

@Afope,

Write your IELTS, there's nothing stopping you from getting a positive assessment.

Start the process now...

Yes he has a BSc from Unilag distance learning post HND

I just got the results today. And what adds salt to the injury is that another draw will be coming up 1st Feb (which is this today by Nigerian Time)

lols. I am not asking to be spoonfed but its only an inefficient person that will NOT ask if there is a faster and a less time consuming way to do a task before starting the task.

A quick one please i have read this thread from 0 - 154 shocked and i assure you that i have gained alot from your wealth of knowledge.
i read through with anticipation that someone would have answered this question. please any Architect in the house or if you know one who has assessed with AACA(Architects accreditation council of Australia)
1. How was the syllabus presented as i have an e-copy must i get a hard copy or can i print and certify it?
2.How where you able to assess your self with the "self assessment matrix?
3. please i need hints on how you wrote the: Cover letter (maximum 2 x A4 pages) addressing why you think your academic qualification(s) is equivalent to an Australian accredited academic qualification in Architecture
4. What payment mode did you use?
5. Did you assess with your Bsc or Msc as i dont have my Msc certificate yet + i did Masters in urban design and part time.

Thanks for your contribution

Please help a sister out + i have been reading post from expat forum with no encouragement on assessing with AACA but i dont want judge from their experiences as most of them are Indians,Pakistanis e.t.c
