Good day House, Trust the day has been good o. Please I need an urgent assistance on behalf of a brother. He recently got a negative assessment from VETASSESS for his nominated Skill - Agriculture Consultant. He has been with one of the leading bank's Agric Dept and also studied Agric in one of the universities. His Qualification was found suitable but not his skill. He intends to request for a reassessment. Please what do you advise all those who assessed with VETASSESS? @Bellong, cuteannie02 and all others please assist. Thank you. |
Re: General Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa Through Skilled Migration. by bellong: 12:06pm On Sep 21, 2016 |
@toslad, Your brother probably didn't read the ANZSCO job descriptions for the occupation he nominated before getting reference letter and writing his CV. VETASSES is a pain in the ass, however if a job description doesn't match ANZSCO description for an occupation, no way the person can get a positive description. What can he do, check his job descriptions, if it match that of ANZSCO, he can appeal. If not, he should nominate another that matches his. |

Good morning our ogas in the house. I need your advise. It about my transcript. I just discovered that my transcript has my wrong date of birth. Clearly I don't know why my skool put it there in the first place. What I want to know if I append my Birth certificate to my application would it be ok? |

^^^^^ You can do a court affidavit stating the school made a mistake on your date of birth. 1 Like |

Thank you so much Bellong. I knew you would give your usual honest and candid opinion. I appreciate and will discuss with him. As per nominating another, it might be difficult as all he has ever done is Agric related. Thank you again and please expect further enquiry as we make progress. bellong: |

@Metrecube, kindly desist from spreading falsehood and creating rancor here. Religious differences can be expressed on other sections of d forum. This page is for migration to Australia and not about our religious beliefs. You just want to spur strife in this group; I wonder why. Admin Bellong, Please ur voice is needed on this particular issue, before it gets out of hand. 4 Likes |

Hi All, Have gone through this thread from page 0 to the present and I must confess it has been very informative, all thanks to oga Bollang and co. I will want to assess my skill with Vetassess because they are the assessing body for my profession (Valuer). I have a Bsc. In Estate Management and an Msc. In Facilities Management with 4yrs experience as an Estate Surveyor and Valuer and 1 n 1/2yrs experience in facilities management. I currently work as an FM and i do not want to claim points for my experience in it. So my question is; 1) apart from my reference letter and pay slip from my previous employer do I also need to submit my resignation letter and their letter of acceptance. 2) do I need to indicate in my CV that I currently work as an FM so as to account for what I have been up to since I resigned from my previous work place. Thank you all in advance |

Ladon7: Your question shows you have not really read the thread and accompanying information. You need to check the state nominating the occupation for their requirements. Not every state asks for proof fund, only NT and ACT do. Check ANZSCO descriptions for your nominated occupation to make sure it matches yours. 1 Like |

@Florence13, 1. You don't need to show resignation and acceptance letter except they refused to give you reference letter and you have to do a statutory declaration. 2. Yes, you must explain gap on your CV. Go through the thread, I attached a PDF file from VETASSES somewhere, probably 3-7 pages back, I think there's a special instruction about valuer on the document. Not too sure except you read to confirm. |

Hello gurus in the house. My wife qualified as ACA in 2005 but the ICAN syllabus that we have been able to lay our hand on so far is that of 2005. Does it matter? We are banking on the fact that the courses she took before qualifying were stated on page 12 of the 2005 syllabus as "Old Syllabus" but the course details were not given. It is noteworthy that most of the courses were still carried over into the 2005 syllabus. Also, we were only able to get photocopies of her University syllabus which we are proposing to have certified by a notary public. CA preferred "coloured copies". Any ideas? 40manlappy: If you are in Lagos, please go to ICAN office at Oyingbo to get the copies. The Librarian will help you a great deal. It is of no use sending the documents for assessment without including the detailed syllabus. |
