The Most Likely Reason Why Ntel SIM Is Still Scarce by bongolistik(m): 12:34pm On Apr 17, 2016 |
Since Ntel launched its 4G LTE network services in Lagos and Abuja, lots of folks have been trooping to their offices to acquire their SIMs and have a new test of 4G LTE lightening browsing and download speed services. But it seems all effort to do so have proved abortive and Ntel services for now still remain a mirage. For those that have since reserved their Ntel special number and waiting to claim it at the launch of Ntel services have also not been able to do so. Now after due observation, we were able to come up with the most likely reason why Ntel SIMs are still scarce. Remember at Ntel launching, Ntel promises that first 100,000 subscribers will be getting free on-net calls for life and also free 3 months of data services. Now, you shouldn’t expect Ntel after promising all that, to throw up their SIMs in the air just like that. The delivery of Ntel SIMs have to be logistically planned in order to forestall some ugly incidence that might erupt if everybody was allowed to rush and pick the SIM in order to be among the first 100,000 subscribers that will be benefiting from such offer. So at this point too, you should expect to pay some little price before you can be a partaker in the offer, and I believe the waiting time is part of the price that Abuja and Lagos residence are currently paying. Finally, remember that nothing good (awoof) comes that easy, so be little more patient as Ntel work out their final logistics modalities before rolling out their SIMs to ensure maximum safety in crowd control. Stop defending inefficiency and mediocrity. I am yet to collect the national I.d card I registered for over two years ago.Nigerians are terribly bad at organizing thingd 80 Likes 1 Share |

Babalegba: Correct, we are terrible at organizing things. There is no need to boast they are online close to 2 weeks ago and up till now no sim cards no customer support, no website, no office... It is very very terrible way to start. If a foreign company comes and do a better job we will all be screaming that they are ripping us up. This is the same thing hitv did when they took the premiership right from Dstv and then after 2 years what happened? They went down due to poor management and the same dstv that we all hate are still the ones bringing us live football. The bottom line is ntel are NOT READY. Them claiming to launch on April 8th is a BIG FAT LIE, that was just a marketing gimmick to make it look like they launched on 08/04 which is in rhyme with their number 0804. What bothers me though is when avcompany starts with lies, I wonder what other lies they have in their closet. 40 Likes 3 Shares |

It's incompetence. Your word should be your bond. They're doing things the Nigerian way which we know already. This is not a good start ; their website alone is even enough to discourage someone due to maintenance probs. Well,I wish them good luck! 1 Like |

Considering the fact that they are entering a market that is rife with competition, these NTEL guys better get their acts together or they may not last long. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Rubbish. That line of reasoning holds no water. Remember at Ntel launching, Ntel promises that first 100,000 subscribers will be getting free on-net calls for life and also free 3 months of data services. Actually, yes we should expect Ntel to sell their SIM cards. No matter what scenario you look at, the chances of them selling 100k SIM cards and selling out is absolutely zero. Don't overestimate demand. The real reason why Ntel isn't on sale is that they were not ready at all. The only reason why they 'launched' on April 8th was because of the dubious benefit of launching on a date (08/04) that looks like their number (0804). Unfortunately, that plan has now backfired, with the launch buzz dying down and potential customers becoming increasingly irate. Meanwhile, we still see their army of twitter bots spamming us with 'news' that Ntel has 'started service'. The OP is posting misleading information, anyway. Saying the Ntel SIM is 'scarce' indicates that it is on sale but supplies are limited or cannot meet demand. As far as I know, not a single SIM card has been sold to the general public and Ntel has yet to announce any retail locations. In summary, Ntel are not ready or serious. Their marketing is crap, the website is shi'tty, and they keep putting out contradictory info about their network, their services and compatible devices. 17 Likes |

op, abeg, it's too early to start taking weeds, which kind nonsensical nonsense talk be this? you no know wetin launch mean? also, you are wrong that the product is scarce, the product is not scarce but not available, if it's scarce, few people should have it, even if the number is negligible, but here we are, incompetence with a youth who should be asking questions, justifying a company lack of direction. 5 Likes |

If the logistics will cover the 36 states at the same time so that each state can at least get 3000 of the Sims for calls that are free, then the waiting is worthwhile! 1 Like |
