A federally owned government institution where the tuition fees is almost same as other private institution. They called them p-military yet the regimentation is worst than that of Nigeria Defense Academy. After five years of completion of studies yet some cadets still roam Lagos, portharcourt, bayelsa, and other marine areas in search of Jobs. The worst part of it all after over 30yrs of establishment they still issue out diploma certificate. We complain of our president travelling over the country, when the former rector Late Joshua Ekpo under the PDP government toured round the globe, leaving uncompleted projects unattended to, organising parties everywhere, whereas most cadets are leaving in their hostels uncomfortable. Yet we say have a maritime institution in Nigeria, we have maritime affiliates (NIMASA, IMO) in Nigeria, we have a ministry of transportation. Long live all cadets of maritime academy of Nigeria
