Cristiano Ronaldo's form this year has been so good, one might wonder how he performs at such a high level at the age of 31. Ronaldo has set a new record in the Spanish league, becoming the first player to have scored at least 30 goals in six consecutive season. Behind him in the list is Leo Messi, of Barcelona, who has scored 30 or more in four consecutive season.

Ronaldo is obviously the favorite now but this is just April. Cup competitions still plenty la liga is there, champions league is still there. These two will go a long way to decide the ballon d'or winner. Madrid must win at least a title this year for ronaldo to claim the award. Remember last season C.Ron 7 scored over 60 goals yet lost the award to messi because didn't win a single trophy.


We still have Euro 2016 and even Olympics football coming up. A good performance at the euro with portugal and a champions league trophy will cement the ballon d'or for Ronaldo.
