It is no longer news that the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is in search of new Coach for the senior national team, the Super Eagles. This is coming after Samson Siasia, who replaced the Sunday Oliseh failed to qualify the Super Eagles for the next Africa Cup of Nation. What is however not certain is the caliber of coach the NFF can engage. Here are the profiles of some of the foreign coaches linked so far.

Clemens Westerhoff



Westerhoff is noted for his success with the Nigerian national team. Under Westerhof, the Super Eagles won the 1994 African Cup of Nations and also qualified for the second round of the FIFA World Cup that year. Westerhof has also coached Vitesse Arnhem, the Zimbabwean national team, the Sporting Lions of Zimbabwe’s Premier League, and the Bush Bucks and Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa’s Premier Soccer League.

Harry Redknapp



The 69 year-old has coached several clubs in the United Kingdom and beyond. With over 30 years of experience as a manager, he remains is one of the most established bosses to have worked in the top flight. Currently Redknapp coaches the Jordan national team making analyst say he might want to work in Africa.

Paul Le Guen



Former coach of Olympique Lyonnaise who led the French club to three consecutive Ligue 1 titles. He has also managed State Rennaise, Paris Saint-Germain, Glasgow Rangers and the Cameroun national team, Indomitable Lions. His last role was as manager of the Oman National Football Team, from which he was relieved in November 2015. .

Claude le Roy



Claude Marie François Le Roy is a French football manager and former player, who gained prominence at international level as coach to the Senegal and Ghana national teams. In February 2008, Le Roy led Ghana to 14th position in the FIFA World Rankings, their highest position ever, but quit the post in May 2008.

All these names are useless as far as am concerned,, how can we pay a foreigner when we struggled to pay indigenous coaches?
Our problem in football is not coach, its the occupants of glass house, they are the clog in the wheel of progress of this nation.
Keshi is still the best coach we had and have.
