The football house has temporarily filled the vacant posts in the Eagles’ technical crew with three home groomed coaches to take charge of the friendly games.

The Football House has temporarily filled the vacant posts in the Eagles’ technical crew with the naming of three home groomed coaches to take charge of Nigeria’s next two friendly matches slated for France next month.

The trio of Kennedy Boboye, Imama Amapakabo and Salisu Yusuf will take charge of the Nigeria’s Super Eagles team for their international friendly matches against Mali and Luxembourg.

According to the first vice-president of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), Seyi Akinwunmi the move to bring in the three coaches for the international friendly matches is to help them "get exposure" on the international stage.

"We want our indigenous coaches to get exposure. Salisu Yusuf will lead Amapakabo and Boboye to coach Super Eagles for two friendlies," Akinwunmi revealed.

Boboye manages Abia Warriors in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) while Amapakabo is head coach at Enugu Rangers and how his part, Salisu has been with the Super Eagles and is no novice to international football having worked with Sunday Oliseh and Samson Siasia in the past.

The Super Eagles will play Mali at Stade Robert Dichon, Rouen, on May 27 while they face Luxembourg on June 1.

The Nigeria head coach position is currently vacant since Oliseh called it quits from his role in February citing "incessant violations of our signed agreement."

Nigeria Under-23 national team coach Siasia was handed the reins to take charge of the last two games (2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier), from where Egypt pipped Nigeria to the AFCON ticket.
