In Our Nigerian version of christianity today, there exist many a myth and beliefs that even the holy bible can not prove.
One of them borders on witchcraft. Most christians here in Nigeria and even africa believes there is a place called coven. They say its a place where witches meet to perpetrate their evil acts. How they learnt this i do not know. Perhaps some of them have been there before and so knows so much.
My question is; Who has been to coven and where in the holy bible was an descriptive account of coven given?

The bible didn't explicitly say "coven" but the term "high places" or "heavenly places" can often be regarded as spiritual covens or habitat of demons, spiritual entities etc.

There you go, the bible has proven it and it is not "Nigerian Christianity".

But i beg to disagree with you on some of your points.

can often be regarded means we are assuming, and there is not suppose to be any form of assumption if the scripture does not say so.

Again, the believe is that people go to covens for meeting.
From ephesians you quoted, it states spirits or demons. It also teaches that we don't deal or wrestle with fellow human beings. (flesh and blood).

The bible has not told us this in any way, you have only assumed 'high places to means coven. Even the the dictionary couldn't tell me more.

I think the major challenge we have ask christians is a suitable answer to this question of who is a witch or wizard.

Besides you didn't ask who a witch or wizard was, you asked if they existed as you thought it wasn't in the bible. That was before I gave you proof of their existence according to the scriptures.

epOuranos means heavenly as in Ouranos the heavens. In the same Ouranos where you'll find moon and stars and all sorts of heavenly bodies. Is that where the witches go to do their meetings? Are you sure it is not on top of the Iroko tree instead?

The translations of bible passages often reveal so much about the fears and anxieties of the people doing the interpreting, their need to push through a certain doctrine by hook or by crook.

Ouranos means heaven. Epouranous meaning heavenly. How did they arrive at high places? that could easily be misconstrued for hills, tall buildings, or even the top of an iroko tree (lol).

Why the desperate need to disguise the fact that that passage is talking about the heavens (literally outer space)? Is it because we also hear that Heaven is where God is supposed to reside? Is it because we do not want to acknowledge that early christians believed that they were contending against cosmic agencies that could be found in the heavens, the very agencies that rule this world, not in a political sense like Rome ruled the world, but in a very matter of fact Natural scientific sense. Forces such as gravity, ageing process, Day and night cycles and everything that makes this world what it is, in other words the Forces Of Nature itself.
