It was around the end of last week that the world of football was hit with the news, news that so many people would have seen coming for a while, but were just patiently waiting for it to come to light, and it did eventually come, “Gary Neville was Sacked after just four months in charge of the club”. The news broke out and proved some already known fact. First of all, it proved that Gary was not be ready for top tier football management just yet. Neville Joining a club run by a close business associate was an immediate mistake. Going to an underperforming club with high expectations for a first job was brave, yes, but doing so in a foreign country and with a team that was obviously underperforming ticked the gauge over to 'stupid'. Secondly it continued to demonstrate just how bad English managers have been in years gone by, which is the reason for this article.
