In your role as front end developer you will create cutting edge user interfaces using HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This includes the utilization of frameworks such as Angular, React and others.

• You will be working in a team with Designers and Backend Developers. You've been assigned to a project where you have to develop the frontend for a web application that reassembles the features of a classifieds website and where the backend is purely driven by a node.js API; please explain your approach to structure your application, explain the technologies you will use, how your development stack is setup and how you ensure the frontend is scalable, secure and organized?

For this role we are looking for a highly skilled and experienced developer. Please tell us about the last 3 projects that are of similar in nature, what your role was, what challenges did you come across and how did you tackle them?

Job Responsibilities:

• Work with Designers and other Developers to implement interactive solutions and solve complex interaction challenges using, HTML, JavaScript, CSS and related frameworks.
• Create hand coded User Interfaces using HTML, CSS and JS based on provided designs
• Create complex interactivity and application logic using JavaScript.
• Implement fully functional web applications using from scratch HTML/JS/CSS or using frameworks (i.e.: AngularJS, Bootstrap, Backbone, etc…) or plugins when necessary.
• Integrate HTML/CSS/JS code with the CMS to create customized CMS-based solutions
• Write code to connect HTML applications to web services and databases, using REST and other technologies.
• Learn new technologies inside and outside of the Frontend domain
• Positively contribute to the team and clients by mentoring and sharing knowledge
• Test your own code before handover to QA to deliver optimal results
• Mentor Junior members of the team by sharing knowledge and best-practices

Skills required:

• 3+ years of rapid web development using HTML, CSS, JS and web development frameworks.
• Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and pure JavaScript
• Good knowledge of several of the following rapid web development frameworks and toolsets: SCSS / LESS, Bootstrap, AngularJS / Backbone.js / Ember.js / ReactJS, Node.js, Underscore, Bower, Grunt, Jade.
• Strong understanding of modern UI development standards (responsive web-design, load-optimization techniques, dependency management, semantic web, SEO, etc...)
• Knowledge of Canvas, SVG and animations is a plus.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Candidates should have proven experience in modern Web development projects using modern techniques
• Hybrid mobile application development experience is a plus
• A solid understanding of web application development processes, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures.
• Good understanding of layout and basic user interface design principles
• Deployment process understanding
• Strong communication and writing skills
