A GOSPEL OF PROSPERITY OR POVERTY.
Efforts have been made to guide God's children from 'love of money'.therefore, some preachers continue to assert that the wealthy crops of men are those who have mustered enough brutality and inhumanity to fight their way to the top in the world of business and politics so as to amass wealth,on that standpoint,one would be tempted to subscribe to the fallacy that only the wicked and desperate get rich.they go on without mentioning the fact that money isn't evil.the evil begins when we worship it.these crop of preachers are quick to condemn career pursuit.to this end such preachers are usually called poverty preachers.
On the other hand.there is a gospel of prosperity.they emphasize on financial and career breakthrough without warning christians to be wary of the love of money that prevent people from true consecration and devotion.hence they are labelled prosperity preachers.
Our efforts to crush avarice should rather be directed towards learning and teaching how not to be a slave to money in this world of materialism.we should rightly divide the word of God.
Our money should be used to serve God.we should have all things in common.share things among our brethren,invest in our brethren.Acts2:44-45.
the above passage is a denominator that can settle and balance it all.but if you have a problem with Acts2:44-45,I'm afraid you are a slave to money.Matt19:16-26.
