The 1000 Book Project is an initiative of some students both within and outside the vicinity of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Osun state. On behalf of the project and as the co-ordinator, I am requesting for books (either used or new) from Nigerians and non-Nigerians alike who have books they no longer want and wish to donate. Such books, when received, will be placed in the 1000 Books Project library and others will be left in the hands of young pupils who are educationally malnourished. This project, it must be noted has not been endorsed by any federal, state, local or university authority, hence, it is a private initiative taken by concerned individuals and not having any backing from constituted authorities.
