You have been in the industry for some years now and have achieved so much. How did you get this far in such a short time?
Just like I mentioned, I am someone who is not limited by the situations and conditions around me. I am someone who likes to turn those rains and despairs into success. I found a need. There are some people who are looking for a touch a class and that is exactly the area where we are filling in. Funny enough NextHomes has never done an advert in any media. The highest we have done is our Facebook page but we have done business with people from almost every continent in the world. We have clients all over. We have been in alliance with so many businesses all over the world. What we have done is to identify our market and to work tirelessly to achieve our aims and goals. And one of the secrets is this; it’s a number game. We knew our target and we are working so hard to provide information that they can never get elsewhere about the construction industry in Nigeria. The secrets, the tips, and those things that you need to know. The investment tips and how to avoid being ripped off and so many other resources that can be useful to a first-time homeowner especially those who are across the borders. When you give us something, you get something in return. Most people do not always look at it from that angle.

How do you find your international clients if you never advertise? Or do you advertise outside Nigeria?
No. We have online forums and platforms where we showcase our projects. On these forums there are people that want to associate with the name NextHome. There are architects, there are suppliers and other people in the industry that want to be associated with us. So it is a case of each one reach one. One person might be recommending us ‘oh, I know a builder that can do this’. Another is like ‘I know a company that is a specialist in this’. So it is word of mouth and I tell you, word of mouth sells much more than any advert you can think of because we already have a satisfied guide; most of these people have been spreading the news even without us doing anything.
