40watts is quite huge....though I haven't used it before but I have used a 20watts speaker (not by Sony) and the sound was really nice so I'll expect a 40watt unit to produce better sound.

The only downside is the battery would only last about 6 hours, and takes about the same time to fully charge......

I don't think there is quick charge in speakers.

They generally take a long time to charge...like about 3hours for a 2000mah capacity
