The redmi 5 plus is bigger relative to size... Redmi note 4(151 x 76 x 8.5 mm (5.94 x 2.99 x 0.33 in) vs redmi 5 plus(158.5 x 75.5 x 8.1 mm (6.24 x 2.97 x 0.32 in).. And also heavier.
The redmi 5 is almost as same size to the redmi note 4...redmi note 4(151 x 76 x 8.5 mm (5.94 x 2.99 x 0.33 in) vs redmi 5(151.8 x 72.8 x 7.7 mm (5.98 x 2.87 x 0.30 in).... So i don't see what is wrong about my analysis.

What you're doing is explaining your bias in clear terms

The perfect size of phone for me is a little smaller than the Redmi 5. If i could build a phone, the Nokia X6 and Samsung S8/S9 would be the perfect size for me(biased) just cause i don't fall into the popular crowd. I prefer the weight under 170g too.

On the other hand, iPhone and Samsung users and buyers are people not only appreciate quality but can afford quality at high prices.

Samsung and iPhone cannot be grouped together when it comes to second hand value. I still sold new-ish review unit J7 Prime for 45K 2 months ago. Samsung doesn't have resale value like iPhone. First of all the S8 is now 179K for a brand new one. If the new one is dropping anyhow, forget about selling at 50%+ from the price as at when you got it.

In comparison, the cheapest iPhone 7(32GB) i found on Jumia is 188K
