Major difference should be the LTE BANDS, Note 4x supports most of our bands unlike the note 4.

i kid you not, I know Xiaomi could have done a whole lot better with the Mi Max, but it offers me the size and battery size that i'm sure no Xiaomi phone can give me at the moment, never mind mi mix (it looks awkward without a bezel IMO).
