Before land use decree of 1978 that vested all lands to authority of State,the lsnds normally control by the traditional families. But after 1978 the government acquired all the lands. It means all the land belongs to government call ACQUISITION After acquiring all lands, some were released back to the former landlords. The one released to families or villagers are we called VILLAGE EXCISION The one government acquired and the one she excised to the villagers are surveyed, marked and documented in a book called GAZETTE which stand as an instrument. So all land has GAZETE? Am here to learn please. So when people advertised their landed property and say Government GAZETE, does this mean buyer still have cause to worry? From your explanation, Government GAZETE doesn't show any form of safety or prove that land is free from trouble |
