Google Has Just Rolled Out New Updates For Google Translate On Android Phones by Jackson333(m): 1:34am On May 12, 2016
Google has just announced three hot updates to its Google Translate. The Alphabet owned company an hour ago rolled out some big improvements on Google Translate.

“Of the 500 million+ people who use Google Translate, more than 9 in 10 live outside the U.S. We’ve talked with thousands of you in India, Indonesia, Brazil, and Thailand to learn what works and what doesn’t—and today we’re rolling out some big improvements,” said a Google official blog.

The three main updates Google rolled out today are Tap to Translate on Android, Offline Mode support for iOS and Word Lens support for Chinese.

For the hundreds of millions using Android across the globe, the most important update is the Tap to Translate feature. Google stressed how hard the team have been working to put an end to the copy-paste text between Google Translate and other apps.

According to Google, with the introduction of Tap to Translate on Android, you can just copy the text of a chat, comment, song lyric, etc. in whichever app you’re using, and a translation will pop up right there—no need to switch apps:

If you are an iOS user, the new update now lets you translate up to 52 languages in offline mode.
