MTN initially brought out an easier way to do that. Where you will even see all the active subscriptions in one place and then choose anyone that you want to unsubscribe from.

But after that, MTN in their crooky manner, secretly made the option to be displaying error message when you try to access it.

Send STOP to 2442. Works as a "Do Not Disturb" code for all networks as mandated by NCC in July 2016. It deactivates the network's unsolicited messages and advertisements. To reactivate, send ALLOW to 2442.

Happy New Year all!

doesn't necessarily work even though it shows you've activated DnD. I got 148 messages from 5900 within 12hrs a few days ago and I had to threaten some actions before mtn stopped that harrasment

2442 Its not working. The impression is that bulk of the unsolicited text messages come from anonymous bulk SMS providers that's false. This is because you activate DND you still get loads of junk messages from strange numbers starting with 5*** Best is to activate True Messager App on Android phones its a product of True Caller app coy. Then You get some peace. DND also helps you block all reasonable text messages that could be an info alert on your phone but does no Block MTN
