No fewer than four people have been reported killed last night when gunmen suspected to be Fulani herdsmen attacked a village near Agwabi in Binev council ward of Buruku Local Government Area, Benue State.

According to sources, the residents of the community had repelled an attack the previous day, but the armed herdsmen reinforced and attacked again.

It was also alledged that security agents drafted to protect the area which has suffered inccesant attacks by Fulani herdsmen, were taking their bath while yesterday’s attack lasted unabated.

Meanwhile, most of the communities in the area which lies between rivers Logo and Buruku have been deserted for fear of imminent attacks.

“For instance, in Nenzev Ward in Logo, 23 out of the 48 communities in the ward have been sacked or deserted for fear of attacks”. Our source revealed.

Efforts to contact the Benue state police spokesman, ASP Moses Yamu proved abortive as his phone line wasn’t going through.

If these attacks by the fulani headcutters happened with this intensity during GEJ's tenure, all hell would have been let loose.

Our dullard of a president believes that the lives lost to the bloodlust of these herdsmen is inconsequential....... But he is in for a big surprise.
