Andorid versions are named after vaarious confectionery. Regarding the differences between the verison, they range from UI, to performance, to security,e.t.c.
Google each version and take a look at the change logs as someone said earlier..

Jellybean - Android 4.3
Kitkat - Android 4.4
Lollipop - Android 5.0
Marshmallow - Android 6.0

They are basically different versions of the android operating system with Jellybean being the oldest and Marshmallow being the most recent.
From Jellybean to Marshmallow you will observe a drastic improvement in speed, GUI aesthetics, better colour and picture output and complexity. Someone that is used to Jellybean will find marshmallow difficult to interact with but will be able to interact with Kitkat relatively well. Conversely, someone that is familiar with Lollipop will find interacting with Marshmallow a walkover and consider both 4.3 & 4.4 (Jellybean & lollipop) archaic.

Kindly note the bolded as it is not true. Before JellyBean the following versions existed;

Cupcake.
Donut
Éclairs
Froyo (Frozen Yoghurt's)
Gingerbread
Honeycomb
Ice cream Sandwich

Brother, there is no version of Android as 4.3. Jellybean is Android 4.1. What you might have as a sub-version could be Android 4.1.3 (still a Jellybean). After Jellybean, you have Kitkat which is Android 4.4, then Lollipop 5.0, and currently Marshmallow-6.0.
Besides, the part you said Jellybean is the oldest version; I would like you to clarify that because before Jellybean there were older versions of android like Donut 1.6, Eclair 2.1, Froyo 2.2. Gingerbread 2.3, Honeycomb 3.0, Ice cream sandwich 4.0, .... Note the initials D, E, F, G, H, I, J, K, L, M.
I can bet, the next version of Android will start with an 'N' and it will be a sweet edible item.

New os fixes bugs in old ones...tecno c8 as case study comes wt lollipop... After the upgrade, have you checked if you can still edit your Imei... Just try it and let's know......

OK.
I know if you have already changed your Imei b4 the upgrade, the phone still retains the changed imei.. But as for those who have not changed theirs b4 the upgrade, I do not think it will be possible to change it again. Even those that changed already will. Not be able to edit On C8

Yeah bro. What I meant was that jeally bean was the oldest in the range he specified. Thanks man.

Kindly note the bolded as it is not true. Before JellyBean the following versions existed;

Cupcake.
Donut
Éclairs
Froyo (Frozen Yoghurt's)
Gingerbread
Honeycomb
Ice cream Sandwich

Yeah man was referring to it (jellybean) as the oldest in the range d poster specified.

All tecno phones are stuck on the Android version that came with it... nobody wants that
everyone wants to move along with technology and OTA upgrades to a better revolution

My advice on those using infinix hot note, do not upgrade to lollipop os, it hangs when loaded with apps compared to the kitkat version, 2nly the battery life becomes very short, 3rdly, the ram usage becomes unreasonably drastic., and not all apps work on it compared to kitkat. So stick with kitkat.

New os fixes bugs in old ones...tecno c8 as case study comes wt lollipop... It hangs a lot because of the 1gb ram especially when multitasking..but when I upgraded it to the marshmallow..it is now perfect..I can run 20apps underground wtout stress and it has other improvement in security and others..it generally improved d outlook and design and also speed with other exciting features..thank you...
True. Same applies to gionee m3, comes with original KitKat with 3g only in sim1 but that changed when upgraded to lollipop as both sims now carries 3g

why no go online and google this thing na..

you have a smartphone, you can browse. go and get detailed explanation and if possible come back open a thread and enlighten others..
that's how the world should work. but laziness everywhere mehn. you cant be bothered to seek answers.

the mods that push this to frontpage are only encouraging ignorance among Nigerians. threads on front page should educate us more times than ask questions.
but now its vice versa.

No No No Pls don't curse him. like me now ,I'm searching from Google for the difference between the two OS that I was directed to nairaland land cos the issue was discussed .
and so I think it is not a bad idea to bring every issue here to discuss cos nairaland has many talented vibrant guys that are ready help.

I discovered nairaland not long ago but I tell u, that learned so much. I got so much I deal now. thanks to my fellow Nigerians .

Are u saying that the newer version is always better in all devi then old version of the os?
