Why Pinterest Lifted Affiliate Link Ban? by emulate20101: 8:33am On May 17, 2016
Pinterest after banning affiliate link for over a year, because spammers were abusing them announced to the public that their spam detection system is now stronger and are ready to accept affiliate again. Really?
To make this changes possible the made some changes on their acceptable use policy.

Prior to this time, Pinterest made a public warning to “power pinners” that they will automatically remove affiliate links, redirects and trackers on pins and also said that affiliate links and redirect from best affiliate marketing forum were causing irrelevant pins in feeds and other spammy behavior

If any affiliate manager posts a spammy affiliate link, Pinterest said that its system would block it there by preventing the landing page of the affiliate marketer from loading. But now everyone can resume posting affiliate links without any charges.

According to Adelin cia, re-enabling the affiliate links will help grow the local market, allowing users in that region to create content that are relevant to people there and the company strongly believes that this support will benefit users outside the United states. “We want to get local influencers to stretch their content out on the platform” cai remarked.

Affiliate links will play a big role as Pinterest will continues to increase its international audience which is where most of its audience are coming from.
