The guy comment on the mods are right. Nowadays you see topics like, Davido is wearing a shoe, tonto is getting dark, I just killed a snake, making front page. While topics of important pressing matters, life saving, and educating are either featured less or not at all.

Nairaland was created as far back as 2005 and up till now it's only well known in Nigeria and perhaps little places in west Africa, and that's a shame for an 11 year old forum.

Facebook was initially created as a social forum created for a particular group in Harvard students, then the whole of Harvard and finally the world at large and it didn't take mark and it's team 10 years to achieve it. This is because they mostly listen to user complaint and improved on their services to meet users demands. Mark & his team dropped ego and stop playing God by giving to users what they want and not what mark & team wants.

Recently, nairaland is being invaded by teens as young as 11 and this is due to the fact that Vulgar topics including how I made love to a cougar, sexx is best,and... Make front page.

If nairaland is well managed, it can rival social media like Facebook and Twitter. It can even be the first place to get news on the go and seun might start employing journalists to get news and start a nairaland newspaper empire. But who am I? "I can come feature it myself"

Of all forum or blogs, Nairaland is the most visited and if the developer and mods are smart enough, then this forum should be bigger and global by now, by taken seriously and not seen as a child's forum or a place to collect traffic.

Seun and co, don't aim for millions in naira by acting like a demigod and chasing traffic generated by little children but by listening to users complaint and making the front page gold, you will make billions and yes in dollars. My opinion
