THE BALLOON-PINATA THEORY...
While everybody knows that balloons are tossed around, not
so much common knowledge accrues to a pinata.
So,I'll explain a bit.
A pinata is a balloon-like-structure,sometimes in the shape of
a horse,fish or any other stuff but it is filled with candy,edible
sweets and other goodies mostly seen at parties.
The thing there is this:A blindfolded person takes a stick and
tries to hit the pinata so hard that all its contents spill out and
everyone scrambles for the goodies.
Now,there are two cogent reasons for the comparison of
these two things
1.The Same Rule Applies To Both Of Them..
The both get struck for enjoyment and pleasure.
One by hands the other by sticks.
2.The end result.
When a balloon bursts,it gets deflated and all that is left is
shreds which is.
For the pinata,when it bursts..There is something still left of
it..candy and other goodies.Which symbolises it's inner
strength, it's core
In applying it to our everyday lives....
There a saying that goes "The issue is not the problem but
your reaction to the problem"
There'll always be people who will hit us with different kinds of
things,hateful words,unkind words or deeds,being quick to
adjudge blame but the issue is how we react to them..
You can be a balloon,get hit and be left with nothing but
shreds..broken pieces of yourself... A sorry sight where shreds
are all that is left to remind anyone of your former
glory,beauty,strength of character and grandeur(as a fully
blown balloon)
OR
Be a pinata...prove them wrong and spill good content...
No matter how hard they hit you,don't get broken and respond
with bile or hate...Spill good content.
Trust me hateful people would scramble to pick the goodies.
So folks, what are you?
A balloon or a pinata?
In many situations in life,we'll face the tough decision of
applying the balloon-pinata theory. .
Asking ourselves if we should hit back,respond like a an angry
snake and swallow the egg of the chicken,wrap ourselves with
bitterness, become saucy,distrusting, revengeful, hateful etc
Applying it is not easy,but it's worth it.
