"I no wan talk too much but i gat to say something".
Sit down young boy, let me tell you a story.
Errand your distractions, and listen very carefully.
The past is not just a four letter word, it's a hunter in disguise.
Forget the ticking of the wall clock, time flies.
Out there somewhere is a 41 years old man, wishing all the spent years was a long dream.
Sorry for the swap in language, the rocky landing still dey do the guy like film.
When he was five, he was warned to stop playing with knife.
But the conceived stubbornness of the age four, posed as a glued drive.
Concern, flogging, and the volume of shout increased at age ten.
Even the principal could not understand why a primary four pupil would stab his fellow classmate with a pen.
Repetitions of abeg was instrumental in his admission to a nearby secondary school.
There, he got away with his funny acts, thinking reality was asleep but he had no clue.
His mother cried daily, begging him to change.
To fuel the plead, his father even prostrated for him without considering his age.
His perceived asleep reality, yawned at him in ss2 when he celebrated his eighteenth birthday.
Not only did he go around drinking and smoking, he was reported to have raped a thirteen years old girl to death later that day.
His mother couldn't mutter a word, his father eyes were soaked in despair.
The worse being the outcome was more than a scare.
This time, the community refused to do the usual, and he headed to prison.
Even as the only child, his father refused to visit but justified were the reasons.
Seeing his kind, the word remorseful escaped his feeling.
He was overwhelmed with being young, whereas time was flying.
Lucky to be released five years, at the change of a military government.
To him, five years was nothing but some of his mates were already final students.
Abiamo would abiamo, he was well received by his parent.
Again they adviced him to change, but his promise was far from meant.
Weeks after, idleness of the hand made him say yes to a notorious gang.
A decision that later ran out his luck, leading to a boomerang.
Stealing, sexual harrasment, drinking, and smoking were the daily objectives of this gang.
Reality being tired of thought to be sleeping then stamped her feet with a bang.
Not to bore you with details my boy.
When thinking became heightened, his parent kissed the soil.
Jungle justice he experienced at age 34, when he was unable to escape fast like others did.
He could have been rescued on time, but not only after his legs were amputated.
On the silky bed of the hospital, his once dreamt dream of becoming a footballer, load of advices, cunnny cum criminal acts, replayed over and over.
For seven years now, he has been battling with the bluntness of reality with no mama or papa as cover.
Resorted to road side begging,
With a regretful heart and daily wishing.
So my boy, time is a fleeting companion, make the best of it while its on your side.
Don't say time will wait for you, don't say you are a child.
Run when you can run, fly when you can fly.
Adhere to your parent advice, it would give you a stepping stone on the sky.
Time is motionally programmed, forget the wall clock.
It talks and wait for nobody, the single ticks are disguised bulk.
So from the learnt of this story, go and apologize to your parent.
Be sincere on each word, don't be like the 41 years old man whose promise was never meant.
GOD Bless You as You adjust....
